Product Liability

The term "product" includes a wide assortment of items, including tires, vehicles, vehicle parts, prescription and over-the counter drugs, vitamins, dietary supplements, household items, toys and pesticides, to name just a few. Under the law, a consumer may recover for serious injury to persons or property caused by a defective product. A product may be "defective" in a number of ways, for instance, a product may be poorly made, it may be poorly designed for its intended use and it may be defective because a manufacturer has failed to supply adequate warnings.
